Manifesting U.S. Nexus

A physical connection to the U.S. can manifest through:

• A physical presence of the organization in the U.S.
• Being a subsidiary of a company physically located and operating in the U.S.
• Principal officers and/or owners of the company residing in or originating from the U.S.
• Organizations with employee presence in the U.S.

For international organizations, U.S. nexus can be manifested through a comprehensive understanding of the organization's overall operations including having:

• U.S. customers
• U.S. partners or suppliers
• U.S.-based Investors

Acceptable Attributes and Documents

The current list of attributes and acceptable documents Mercury accepts for U.S. Nexus validation is the following:

• A physical presence of the organization in the U.S.
• Subsidiary of a company that is physically located and operating in the U.S.
• Principal officers and/or owners of the company residing in or originating from the U.S.
• One of the BO’s with significant ownership residing in the U.S.
• Payroll for U.S. employees
• Employee presence in the U.S.
